Year 13 NCEA Physical Education
Miss Story
Year 13 Physical Education offers 24 credits. Six Achievement Standards are offered covering topics such as planning and participating in an outdoor recreation camp, biomechanics and motor skill learning in relation to badminton, taking action to influence participation in physical activity and examining current physical activity events, trends and issues within New Zealand society.
Achievement Standards:
3.1 Apply knowledge to plan a physical activity programme or experience.-Camp & Written Portfolio - 3 Credits-T2
3.2 Explain the effectiveness of a physical activity programme and it’s influence on well-being.-Camp & Written Portfolio- 3 credits-T2
3.3 Appraise performance and review a programme for performance improvement, for self or others.-Written assessment- 5 Credits-T1
3.4 Perform a physical activity to nationally developed performance standards.-Practical Assessment - 4 credits- T1
3.5 Examine a current physical activity, event, trend or issue impacting on New Zealand society.-Powerpoint presentation- 4 Credits-T4
3.6 Examine physical activity and take action to influence the participation of others.- Written & Practical - 5 Credits-T3
