Mrs Myra Smith         

Director of Music, Music Teacher, Musical Director of Grace Notes Choir, Departmental Accompanist

Mrs Smith has wide experience as a teacher, conductor, chorister, accompanist and church organist. She is currently the conductor of the South Auckland Choral Society. Mrs Smith takes great delight in leading school singing assemblies and enjoys working with all performing groups in school from choirs to orchestras and bands.

Mr Tim Randle

Teacher in charge of Audio Technology/Recording Studio, Music Teacher, Director of Rock Bands, Itinerant Music Teacher -Bass and Electric Guitar

Apart from loving to teach, Mr Randle's area of musical expertise ranges from contemporary rock bands to jazz bands. His main instruments are guitar, bass guitar and double bass. If you want to learn about audio-technology, he is the man.

Mr Shannon Coulomb

Music Teacher

Mr Coulomb has been awarded the Bachelor of Performing Arts (Jazz) and is currently the Guitarist and principal songwriter for Auckland progressive band "Moth Logic". His major interest is in composition and writing for film and stage. Mr Coulomb has experience in Jazz Piano and the French Horn, his principal instrument is the guitar.

Mrs Elaine Girdwood

Music Co-ordinator

While the Music Teachers must focus their energies on music education and performance, Mrs Girdwood works part-time organising the Music Department and dealing with the essential details of department management in order to support the teaching staff.
