Year 11 NCEA Physical Education 

Miss McCall & Miss Burnside

The aim of Year 11 NCEA Physical Education is to enable students to explore the different aspects of physical activity and participation.  During the year students will complete a range of experiences with the purpose of widening their understanding of what it means to be physically educated. These have included Hauora, Exercise Science, demonstrating quality movement in physical activity, and exploring how the body is portrayed in the physcial world.


Achievement Standards:

1.1 Participate in physical activities and describe how this influences hauora/well-being-Interal assessment essay - 5 Credits
1.2 Demonstrate knowledge of body structure and function related to performance of physical activity- Internal examination - 5 credits
1.3 Demonstrate quality movement in the performance of a physical activity-internal practical assessment  - 3 Credits

Explore how the body is portrayed in physical activity- Internal assessment essay - 4 credits

Demonstrate interpersonal skills and describe their effects on the functioning of a group or team- internal assessment - 4 Credits
